Notes from Activities
While under COVID-19 precautions, our “regular” activities may look different, but the life enhancement staff have been working hard to ensure that we continue to provide meaningful engagement for all of our residents. Due to the ever-changing circumstances, we are currently providing our residents with weekly activity calendars to best reflect what is available to them.
Large group Activities Programs
Music groups, exercises, church services, and music entertainment are televised on our four in-house channels (39, 41, 42, & 43). We have been streaming live music every Friday afternoon from our entertainers. Small groups such as games, crafts, reminiscing, and baking continues to be held in the houses with appropriate social distancing and requiring all residents to wear masks. Staff also continue to do 1:1 visits or activities in residents’ rooms when they need to stay in their rooms. We are not facilitating any outings at this time.
Virtual Carolers and Programs
We are fortunate to have a dedicated channel in our t.v. systems that allow us to play DVDs or stream content from a laptop computer. If you know of any musicians, schools, churches, or other organizations that are interested in sending us a recording or Livestream to their event, please contact Sally Rocque. We would love to have some virtual concerts and carolers throughout the Christmas season.
Activity staff is available to set up video chats with family and/or friends through Zoom, Facebook Messenger, FaceTime, Skype, or Google Hangouts. We have limited equipment at this time, so please schedule with activity staff in advance.
We hope to facilitate indoor visits when we are able to do so safely.
