Christmas Decorating

Just a few reminders about decorating resident rooms for Christmas. Due to Federal Fire and Life Safety Codes, we cannot allow live evergreens in the facility. This would include real trees, wreaths, or porch pots. Nothing can be set on top of the over-the-bed lights, and you cannot completely cover a door with decorations. Extension cords are not allowed, and surge protectors must be UL rated. Artificial trees should be fire retardant and UL or CSA listed as well.

Other reminders: room humidifiers and diffusers with a heat source as well as air fresheners that plug-in or have a battery are not allowed. If you have any questions, please contact maintenance staff or Carmen Flunker, Administrator, at 715-231-4564.

Many family members like to help their loved one decorate, but are unable to come help this year due to COVID-19. Contact the activity staff if you would like them to decorate for you.
