Our beautiful, new facilities, opened in October of 2013 have all private rooms, large windows (some will have two windows), private bathrooms with showers in small (14-16 room) houses with a large kitchen, dining room, living room, front porch and where residents maintain control of their daily lives. You will have access to a barber/beauty shop, spa, activity room, chapel and other amenities.
The new facilities have a state-of-the-art Therapy Center on our campus to handle any post-op orthopedic surgical needs, or any post-acute illness or injury. The Therapy Center is adjacent to the new, 16-bed Fireside (Rehab) Manor house built specifically for the needs of rehab patients.
Applying for Medicaid, or Medical Assistance, may be a very important part of your stay at the The Neighbors of Dunn County. If you need assistance in this area, you can call the Dunn County Economic Support office at 715-232-1116.
For information on other resources available in the community to those who are elderly or have a disability, contact the Dunn County Aging and Disability Resource Center at 715-232-4006 or look at their website.
Our social workers and business office will assist you with exploring and presenting you with available financial options to pay for your care. These options include:
- Medicaid / Medical Assistance
- Insurance / Medicare Advantage Plans
- Veterans’ Administration
- Managed Care Organizations/Family Care
- Private Pay
Your room, dining, personal and nursing care, all activities and social services are covered in the daily rate. Also included are basic supplies, laundry, housekeeping, maintenance and administrative services.
No. We feel fortunate at The Neighbors of Dunn County that we are able to offer each resident a private room, bathroom and shower.
Yes. We have two 14-bed Special Care Units at the Neighbors of Dunn County. All staff of The Neighbors of Dunn County are trained specifically in working with residents who have varying levels of dementia.

Yes, we currently contract with Mayo Health System Hospice and St. Croix Hospice and are in the process of contracting with several other area hospice agencies.
Yes, The Neighbors of Dunn County is certified by the Veteran’s Administration as a full contract nursing home.
