From the Administrator’s Desk: Nov/Dec 2018
Fall is known as a time of change. Like the color of the leaves and the temperature of the air, The Neighbors of Dunn County have experienced some changes over the past few months. One very exciting change is the reopening of Arrowhead Lodge. As many of you know, the household has been closed for over a year. In early October we saw a large increase in referrals and admissions, and the decision was made to reopen Arrowhead.
Opening a closed household is not an easy task, and there are many factors to juggle. The staff at The Neighbors worked diligently to make this happen, and I would like to extend a huge thank you to them. Though the last month has been extremely busy, the hard work has paid off and the household has remained open. Like with any major change there was a period of adjustment, but the staff took it in stride. It was truly inspiring to see the staff across the entire campus work together to accomplish this.
I would also like to thank the continued support of our residents and their families. Without you, we could not accomplish the things we do. Our hope is to continue to operate all nine households across campus to best serve our current and future residents.
