About The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie, WI
The Neighbors of Dunn County is a non-institutional nursing homes set on a beautiful campus at the southeast end of Menomonie, WI. Participating in the Medicare, Medicaid, VA, Wisconsin Family Care, and Hospice care programs, our campus consists of a neighborhood of homes providing resident-centered, resident-directed, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation services for our communities.
We follow the tradition of “Generations of Caring since 1892.” In October of 2013, we moved into our newly designed neighborhood facilities to replace the existing Dunn County Health Care Center.

At The Neighbors of Dunn County, our arrangement with the local Menomonie area hospital provides daily physician rounds for residents Mondays through Fridays as well as 24/7 on-call services.

The Neighbors has teamed-up with Powerback Therapy services for all of your physical, speech, or occupational therapy needs in a spacious and comfortable therapy gym. Many folks come to the facility for rehabilitation and return home. Whether short-term or long-term, Powerback Therapy and the staff at the Neighbors will help you regain your highest level of practical well-being and comfort. We also partner with Aggeus Health Care for in-house dental, podiatry, optometry, and audiology services to meet your needs.
Specialized Housing For Memory Loss Care For Seniors
The Neighbors has two Memory Care households for Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias for seniors citizens. Each household has 14 beds, and areas that are small, quiet and designed specifically for individuals with memory issues. The Memory Care households also have specially trained staff and therapeutic activities within a secured setting. These specialty households can benefit the residents that are appropriate for them.

The nursing home facilities at The Neighbors are less institutional and more home-like with the following amenities and services:
- Television and telephone services
- Community living rooms, kitchens, dens, patios, porches, meeting rooms, and more
- Spacious private rooms with one or two windows and a private bathroom
- Barber / beautician
- Monthly visits to the Senior Center
- Daily activities, events, and live entertainment
- Church / worship services
- Free transportation from the referring hospital or other facility
